These songs have travelled with me through many seasons of faith, family, and quiet worship. Some are centuries old, some more recent, and one is my own.

This album is offered as a Christmas gift — to be listened to slowly, shared freely, and returned to again.

Liner notes & acknowledgements

Most of the music on this album comes from hymns and carols that have been sung for generations. Some are centuries old, some more recent, and each has found its way into my life at different times and in different seasons.

Where individual writers are known, I have named them with gratitude. This includes contemporary songwriters whose work has shaped modern worship — among them Graham Kendrick, Stuart Townend, Keith and Kristyn Getty, and the writers of “Goodness of God.”

“Praise You” was written by Elizabeth Goodine.
“I Love His Name” is a family hymn that was written by my great-uncle, Eric Golden.
“Messiah” is a poem I wrote some years ago, and I’m grateful to be able to share it here in spoken form.

All performances on this recording are a cappella. The arrangements are simple, offered with care, and intended for listening rather than performance.

If something in the music or the poem stays with you, you’re very welcome to write to me at: thinkspeakrun@gmail.com
